The SKUuz Difference

We here at SKUuz keep telling you we are different from legacy PIMs. We interact with our customers differently, we approach Product Data differently, we price differently, and we built our platform differently. Here are some of the ways that SKUuz is different and why you should care about the differences.

Who We Are

One of the biggest differences you'll notice when you talk with anyone at SKUuz is that we don't have a sales department, a marketing department, or account agents. Those functions in every PIM software vendor are there to make sure they extract the maximum the can from you, whether it's when they are trying to earn your business or after you buy in when they want to upsell you to higher packages and more expensive services. They list a high price and then discount, often by as much as 40%, making your decision take longer while frustrating your teams.

Marketing teams are constantly bombarding you with emails and on LinkedIn trying to get you to engage in endless surveys and writing reviews to attract the next potential customer while offering you very little in return for your time. You're important to them only when you have something you can give them, because they have nothing to give you.

Account management is constantly looking for you to say any word that they can use to upsell you. Say the word Print and suddenly they're setting up meetings to show you their print application. They bring in marketing, sales engineers, and support people to parade the latest advancement in the tool, and then drop a giant contract in your lap for you to sign.

SKUuz doesn't play those games. We've already discounted our prices so there's no games and no negotiations. You control your tier and add-ons without us pressuring you with contracts and sales pitches. In fact, you can sign up, upgrade, downgrade, and cancel at any time without penalty.

Nobody at SKUuz works on commission. Nobody at SKUuz is looking for ways to make you pay more. Nobody at SKUuz is digging through your LinkedIn profile trying to find an edge to sell to you. Nobody at SKUuz is monitoring your intent on Zoominfo or Crossbeam looking for ways to make us important to you. The only emails you'll get fro SKUuz will be honest, direct, single-person emails asking what you think, what we could do better, and how we can help you. That's it. That's one of our Brand promises.

How We Think

The legacy PIMs have a problem. They have a ton of time and money invested in code that doesn't work. They keep on adding to the fringes of their software, but can't untangle the beast in the middle of their code. In some cases they can't scale. in other cases they can't adapt. Some are dependent on third party arrangements to offer services they can't build themselves.

And then there is their AI methodology. They strap an LLM to an interface, call it from a workflow, and call it agentic. The "agents" aren't autonomous, nor are they really agents. They are just AI calls to generate or validate content, al with the hopes they will eat up your credits and force you to pay more.

SKUuz is different. We built our entire platform with the concept that Agents should be in control. Our agents are so ingrained in the tool that you can do anything you want in the platform directly through the Command Center agent. That agent parses your request, and either performs the required actions or sends the command to the other agents for them to perform their actions. Agentic platforms involve agents coordinating with other agents, not just adding content every once in a while based on a step in a workflow.

Our agents are so advanced, you could connect SKUuz to a source system, import records, and the agents will get them ready for publish. They can generate and validate content, categorize your products, translate your data to other languages and locales, build your data model, onboard additional data, and publish those products without you ever logging into the tool. That is an Agentic platform, not just AI as a workflow step.

Why this matters

These two distinctions are very important for your business. We don't believe in the traditional sales cycles that most PIMs employ. Because they are mostly owned by Private Equity or Venture Capitalists, their primary goal is to squeeze every last cent out of your business that they can. There is a constant barrage of emails and phone calls attempting to entice you to renew, upgrade, or pay more for the same tool based on "cost pressures". All this, while offering deficient platform with limited functionality and scalability on legacy technology that costs a ton of money to run.

SKUuz lets you control what you buy. There are no sales people. We'll talk to you if you want a custom plan, but that's a conversation... Not a sales pitch. We hope you will stay with us long term so we can grow together, but you own your contract with us, not he other way around. Cancel at any time without contract break fees or penalties, and you own your data.

Our platform is also the only TRUE Agentic platform. It is built on the latest technology, scalable infrastructure, and using the latest components to ensure proper and thorough code development and hygiene. We have no tech debt. Our team can make changes to our entire platform in less than an hour.

So if you're in the market for a Product Information Management platform, think beyond the box traditional PIMs place you in. SKUuz is an Agentic Product Catalog Management platform, the next evolution beyond PIM thinking. Contact us and we'll have a conversation about your needs, your business, and an honest assessment on if we are the right solution for you. No sales hype: Just product data enthusiasts that want to help your business succeed.
