Images & the Image Agent
The Image Agent generates SEO alt text under 125 characters from the product title, category, and image, with auto-approve or review modes, plus Image Studio for background removal.
Product images are managed on the Images tab of the Product Detail Page — drag-and-drop upload (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF), reorder, set a primary image, edit alt-text, and view AI-extracted metadata. Each variant can have its own image gallery that maps to Shopify's variant image feature. Videos are supported with inline playback.
The Image Agent
Scans product images and generates SEO-optimised alt text under 125 characters by analysing the product's title, category, and image file. In auto-approve mode alt text is written directly; in queue-for-review mode suggestions wait for approval. The agent also powers the Image Studio for background removal, lifestyle image generation, and bulk e-commerce photo processing.
