What product views are available?

SKUuz offers three complementary views for browsing and editing your catalog, and you can switch between them at any time without losing your active filters or search terms. Table View is a full-featured spreadsheet-style data grid with inline editing, column sorting, multi-column filtering, column visibility controls, column reordering, and copy-paste support — it's the most powerful view for bulk editing. Card View is a visual grid that displays product images front and centre with quick-action overlays for editing, deleting, and generating AI content — ideal for visual merchandising review. Taxonomy View organises your catalog as a tree based on your category hierarchy (e.g. Apparel → Tops → T-Shirts), letting you drill into specific categories and see only the products that belong there. Each view shares the same underlying data, so changes made in one view are immediately reflected in the others.

What product statuses are available?

Products in SKUuz have three statuses: Active (the default for imported or manually created products), Draft (for products still being prepared that should not be published yet), and Archived (for products removed from active use). When importing from Shopify, SKUuz maps Shopify's own Active, Draft, and Archived statuses directly. You can filter the product grid by status and bulk-update status from the grid toolbar.

Can SKUuz handle products with multiple variants?

Absolutely. SKUuz supports complex multi-variant products with up to three variant options per product, matching Shopify's native variant architecture. Each variant can have its own SKU, barcode, price, compare-at price, inventory quantity, weight, images, and any number of custom attribute values. Variant options are configured per product, so different categories can use entirely different option sets — for example, T-Shirts might use Size, Colour, and Fit, while Lamps use Finish, Bulb Shape, and Cord Length. Variants are managed on the Product Detail Page (PDP) in a dedicated grid tab, and you can also view all variants across your entire catalog in the 'All Variants' data grid for bulk editing. When publishing to Shopify, SKUuz maps each variant's options, pricing, inventory, and images to the corresponding Shopify variant.

What is the Product Detail Page (PDP)?

The PDP is a full-screen editor dedicated to a single product. It is organised into tabs: the Details tab shows all core and custom attributes with inline editing, grouped by attribute category, with formula fields auto-calculating in real time; the Images tab provides a drag-and-drop image gallery where you can upload new images, set a primary image, edit alt-text and image metadata, and trigger AI image metadata extraction; and the Variants tab contains a dedicated data grid for managing all variant data including pricing, inventory, options, and variant-specific images. Every change on the PDP is tracked by an unsaved-changes guard that prompts you before navigating away, and all modifications are persisted when you click the main Save button.

How does inline editing work in the data grid?

The data grid supports full inline editing with behaviour tailored to each field type. Double-click any cell to enter edit mode — text fields open an inline text input, number fields show a numeric input with validation, boolean fields toggle on click, date fields open a date picker, and list fields open a searchable dropdown. Multi-select fields display checkboxes for each available value. You can navigate cells using Tab (next cell), Shift+Tab (previous cell), Enter (confirm and move down), and Escape (cancel edit). Copy-paste works across rows and columns — you can paste a block of values from Excel or Google Sheets directly into the grid. Rich-text fields open the TipTap rich-text editor with formatting toolbar for bold, italic, headings, lists, links, and images.

Can I search for products by attribute values or by ID?

Yes. The Command Center Agent supports two powerful search modes. You can paste a list of product, variant, or image IDs and the agent will resolve them to the correct products and open a filtered grid view — all IDs must be from the same level (product, variant, or image), and the agent validates this with clear error messages if they're mixed. You can also describe what you're looking for in natural language (e.g. 'Show me all products with brand FlexFit' or 'Find products without a description') and the agent translates your request into structured attribute filters, runs the search, and returns matching products for the grid. Searches work across both standard fields (title, vendor, category) and any custom EAV attribute in your data model.

Can I bulk-edit products?

Yes. In Table View, select multiple rows using the checkbox column — click individual checkboxes, use Shift+Click for a range, or use the header checkbox to select all visible rows. Once multiple rows are selected, a bulk action bar appears at the top of the grid offering several operations: update a shared field value across all selected products (e.g. set all selected products' status to 'Active'), delete all selected products, trigger AI content generation for all selected products simultaneously, or export the selection to CSV or Excel. Bulk AI generation processes each product individually using its own data and the configured AI Field Prompts, so every generated description is unique and contextually accurate.

How do I manage product images?

Product images are managed on the Images tab of the Product Detail Page. You can upload images by dragging files onto the drop zone or clicking to browse, and SKUuz supports JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF formats. Once uploaded, images appear in a sortable gallery where you can drag to reorder, set any image as the primary (featured) image, edit alt-text for accessibility and SEO, and view AI-extracted metadata like dominant colours and detected objects. For variants, each variant can have its own image gallery that maps to Shopify's variant image feature. Videos are also supported with inline playback and thumbnail generation.
