You can import your entire Shopify catalog — including products, variants, images, metafields, collections, markets, and price lists — enrich every field with AI-generated content, define precise field mappings between your PIM attributes and Shopify fields, and publish changes back to Shopify using GraphQL mutations. SKUuz tracks sync status per product so you always know which products are up to date, which have pending changes, and which have never been published. The integration supports both native Shopify fields and custom metafields with full namespace, key, and type configuration.

How does the Shopify connection and authentication work?

You connect your Shopify store during onboarding or at any time from the Control Panel. SKUuz is a certified Shopify app that uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication — when you initiate the connection, you're redirected to Shopify to authorise the app, granting SKUuz the specific API scopes it needs (products, inventory, metafields). Once authorised, SKUuz securely stores the access token. The connection persists until you explicitly disconnect or uninstall the app from Shopify.

Does SKUuz import Shopify product status?

Yes. When pulling products from Shopify, SKUuz maps Shopify's Active, Draft, and Archived statuses directly to the corresponding SKUuz product status values. This means your draft products remain drafts, archived products remain archived, and active products import as active. The status is preserved during round-trip sync.

Does SKUuz support Shopify Markets and Price Lists?

Yes. SKUuz can pull and manage Shopify Markets, Catalogs, and Price Lists. You can import your market-specific pricing using the pull-shopify-price-lists function, manage price list prices within the PIM, and push updated pricing back to Shopify. This enables centralised multi-market pricing management from within SKUuz.

Can SKUuz run inside the Shopify admin?

Yes. SKUuz is a fully certified Shopify embedded app. After installation from the Shopify App Store, it appears in your Shopify admin sidebar. The entire PIM interface — product management, AI content generation, data model configuration, publishing, import hub, and support — runs inside the Shopify admin iframe using Shopify App Bridge. Your team can manage their entire product catalog without ever leaving the Shopify admin.

What does the green/yellow dot mean on products?

The coloured dot next to each product in the data grid indicates its current publish channel assignment status. A green dot means the product is assigned to at least one publish channel node — it's either already synced to Shopify or queued for the next publish. A yellow dot means the product exists in the PIM but has not been assigned to any channel node yet.
